About

We practice engineering as an act of service.

Tampa Dynamics isn’t another AI agency. We’re an engineering firm that happens to work with AI, and our reason for existing is older than any tool we’ll ever use: take needless friction out of people’s work, so they get their time and attention back for the things that actually matter.

Our conviction

Technology is our instrument. People are our purpose.

Anyone can build a demo. Very few can engineer a system that’s secure, maintainable, and genuinely better six months after launch than it was on the day it shipped.

We want to be the firm people call when the AI actually has to work — not the flashiest option in the room, but the one they trust with something that matters.

First principles

Assumptions every strategy must respect.

These aren’t strategies — they’re the foundational truths that guide the company. If a decision ever violates one of them, we question the decision, not the principle.

01

People are the purpose. Technology exists to serve people, never the reverse.

02

Trust compounds. It is earned slowly, lost quickly, and impossible to outsource.

03

Clarity before code. Well-defined problems produce elegant systems.

04

Human attention is sacred. We never create unnecessary cognitive load.

05

Build systems, not heroes. Knowledge belongs in systems, not in one person’s head.

06

Better systems beat better models. Principles endure; technology changes.

Fit matters

We’re not for everyone — on purpose.

Focus is a feature. We do our best work with a specific kind of organization, and we’re honest about when we’re the wrong partner. It saves everyone time and money.

A strong fit

  • You know AI matters but are unsure where to start.
  • Valuable knowledge is trapped in documents, systems, or people’s heads.
  • Teams work around broken processes instead of fixing them.
  • You operate in a regulated or high-trust environment.
  • You want senior technical judgment without hiring a full AI team.
  • You need production systems — not experiments.

A poor fit

  • You want the cheapest possible build.
  • You want a quick chatbot with no strategy.
  • You’re unwilling to examine the workflow.
  • Security is treated as optional.
  • You want AI theater for marketing.
  • There is no decision-maker involved.

Engineering that earned its way up the stack.

Matt started as a UI/UX and front-end contractor, building interfaces across industries — healthcare platforms, internal tools, marketing products. Client work kept pulling him deeper into the stack: first into backend APIs, then into the infrastructure those APIs depended on.

The constraints of regulated industries — healthcare especially — turned out to produce better software, not just more compliant software. That discipline, HIPAA-aware and security-first, is now the core of how Tampa Dynamics builds.

He’s also building nxthreat, a runtime governance and audit platform for healthcare AI agents — the kind of infrastructure this work keeps demanding.

Tampa Dynamics was never meant to be a company built around one person. The goal is an institution that captures judgment into frameworks, patterns, and playbooks, and keeps improving lives long after today’s technology has changed. We build systems, not heroes.

Work with us

Let’s find out if we’re a fit.

The best way to know is to start with a Clarity Assessment — a short, paid engagement that produces a real roadmap. If we’re the right partner to implement it, we’ll say so. If not, you still leave with something useful.
