Personal AI Assistant

A personal AI assistant for your business, running on a server you own.

We install, secure and look after a private AI assistant for business owners and busy professionals. You talk to it from the chat app you already use, it works at any hour, and your data stays where you can see it. It is built for work, but plenty of clients use it at home too.

What it handles

The work it takes off your plate.

On the discovery call you pick three things you want handled. We get those working properly first and add more from there. These are the ones people usually ask for.

Inbox triage and drafted replies

It reads your inbox, flags what needs you, and writes draft replies in your voice. Anything sensitive waits for your okay.

Calendar and scheduling

It books and moves meetings for you and keeps the blocks of time you told it to protect.

Follow-ups that never slip

Quotes, proposals and missed calls get followed up on the schedule you choose, and the CRM gets updated.

Daily briefing

Each morning you get a short rundown: today’s meetings, open threads, overdue invoices, and what changed overnight.

Research and monitoring

It checks competitors, bids or vendors on a schedule and only tells you when something changed.

Documents and reporting

First drafts of proposals, summaries and weekly reports, pulled from your own files and notes.

Why self-hosted

Why we put it on your server instead of someone else’s.

The cloud assistant products charge per action and keep everything the assistant knows about you inside their system. The twenty-dollar install services skip security altogether. We do the thing in between: open-source software on a machine you own, set up the way we would set it up for ourselves.

  • It does not send, pay or delete anything unless you have set a rule allowing it
  • Your passwords, files and the assistant’s memory stay on your server, not in someone else’s cloud
  • You pick the AI model provider, and you can switch or walk away whenever you like
  • We will not set it up for cold outreach to people who did not opt in, scraping private systems, or pretending to be someone else

Done-for-you install

From $2,500 setup. $350/month care plan.

Nothing is billed until after the discovery call, when we have agreed on the scope. Then we send a Stripe link. Setup covers the discovery call, the install, three working workflows and thirty days of tuning. The care plan is optional and renews monthly until you cancel. The AI model is billed separately by your provider, usually $30–$150/month, with a cap we agree on together.

  • A discovery call where we agree on the first three workflows before anything is installed
  • Hermes Agent installed on a private server you own (or your own hardware)
  • Locked-down configuration: approvals for commands, an allow-list of who can talk to it, and an isolated runtime
  • Connected to whatever you already use: Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp, email or SMS
  • A spending cap and alerts on model usage so the API bill is never a surprise
  • Thirty days of tuning. It starts read-only, then drafts, then sends once you trust it
  • Optional care plan: we keep it patched and backed up, swap in better models, and add skills when you ask

Best fit

  • Owners and operators who spend too much of the day on email, scheduling and follow-up
  • Professionals who want an assistant but are not comfortable giving a stranger their inbox
  • Small teams that want one assistant reachable from Slack, Telegram or WhatsApp at any hour
  • Anyone who wants their data and the assistant’s memory kept on hardware they control

Built on Hermes Agent

Open-source software from Nous Research, released under the MIT licence. It remembers between conversations, runs scheduled jobs, can use a browser and other tools, and connects to Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp, Discord, email and SMS. It runs on a small rented server or your own hardware and works with any of the major AI model providers.

Questions

Things people ask before they hand over the admin.

What can a personal AI assistant do for a small business?

Mostly the admin work. It sorts your email and drafts replies, manages the calendar, chases quotes and unpaid invoices, keeps the CRM current, runs research on a schedule, and sends you a daily briefing. The difference from a chatbot is that it is always running, it remembers what you told it last week, and it can actually do things in your tools, within the limits you set.

How much does it cost to set up a personal AI agent?

Our installs start at $2,500. That covers the discovery call, a locked-down install on your own server, three working workflows, and thirty days of tuning. If you want us to keep looking after it, the care plan is $350/month. The AI model itself is billed by the provider you choose, and for a typical business user that works out to $30–$150/month. We put a spending cap on it so it cannot run up a surprise bill.

Is a self-hosted AI assistant safer than a SaaS assistant?

It can be. With self-hosting, your email, documents, passwords and the assistant’s memory stay on a server you control rather than in a shared cloud product, and you are free to change model providers. But it is only safer if someone sets it up carefully and keeps it patched. That is the part we do. A one-line install with default settings is not safer than a SaaS product.

What is Hermes Agent and do I need to be technical to use it?

Hermes Agent is open-source software (MIT licence) from Nous Research. It runs on your own computer or a small rented server, connects to Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp and similar apps, remembers things between conversations, runs jobs on a schedule, and can pick up new skills. You do not need to be technical. You message it the same way you would message a person, and we take care of installing it, securing it and keeping it running.

Can the assistant send emails or messages without my approval?

Not unless you tell it to. When we first set it up it can only read. Then it drafts things for you to look at. Once you are comfortable, you can let it send certain kinds of messages on its own. Payments, deleting things, and messaging people it has not dealt with before always ask first, unless you change that rule yourself.

Can I use it for personal life as well as business?

Yes. Most people start with work and add personal things later, like travel, the family calendar, reminders and household admin, once they trust it. It is the same assistant, and you can keep the business and personal sides in separate channels if you prefer.
